Product Details
The Cuppie Menstrual Disc – Medium (Pink) is a soft, reusable disc that collects your flow instead of absorbing it — replacing years of disposable pads and tampons with a single, body-safe product. The Medium disc holds roughly 42 ml (about three to four times a regular tampon), making it a great everyday choice for light-to-normal flow and a comfortable starting point for new disc users.
Unlike a cup, a disc rests higher at the base of the cervix and is held by tucking behind the pubic bone rather than by suction. Many people find this makes it easy to insert, comfortable to forget about, and suitable for wear during intimacy. The slim pull-string makes removal simple and beginner-friendly.
Medium disc specifications

- Rim diameter: 60 mm · outer span with string tab approx. 120 mm
- Bowl depth: approx. 30 mm · rim thickness 6–7 mm

- Best for: light-to-normal flow, beginners, everyday and overnight wear
How to use a menstrual disc
A disc sits differently from a cup. Instead of sealing by suction in the vaginal canal, it rests higher — in the vaginal fornix at the base of the cervix — and is held in place by tucking the front rim up behind your pubic bone.
- Wash your hands with soap and water.
- Pinch the disc flat in the middle so it forms a narrow figure-eight or oval.
- Insert and aim down and back, toward the base of your spine, sliding it as far back as it comfortably goes.
- Tuck the front rim up behind your pubic bone. Once tucked, the disc opens and sits securely — you shouldn’t feel it.
- To remove: wash your hands, bear down gently, hook a finger under the front rim (or pull the string), and ease it out level to avoid spills. Empty into the toilet, rinse, and reinsert.
Wear time & activities
Depending on your flow, a disc can be worn for up to 12 hours, making it ideal for long workdays, school, travel, and overnight. Because it sits internally with no string-and-suction setup, you can swim, run, do yoga, and stay active with confidence. Many people also find a disc comfortable to wear during intimacy.
Material & safety
Made from soft, body-safe medical-grade silicone — hypoallergenic, non-porous, and free from BPA and latex. The non-porous surface means bacteria can’t soak in, and the disc can be fully sterilised by boiling between cycles.
Cleaning & care
Rinse with clean water during changes and reinsert. Between cycles, sterilise by boiling for 5–10 minutes (keep enough water in the pot so it doesn’t scorch — a clean pot over a jiko works fine), or use a steam steriliser for convenience. Once fully dry, store in a breathable cotton pouch, never an airtight container.
